Visual Arts
A full-time specialist runs the Art School. Children are
introduced to a variety of techniques and disciplines
including drawing, painting, ceramics, textiles and many
other forms and they are encouraged to experiment and
explore different media and techniques.
We are concerned with the education of the
whole child, and the development of art and craft skills
will enable the achievement of personal fulfilment and
satisfaction of the child. Success increases self-esteem
and gives pleasure in this subject.
Art and craft play an important part across the whole
Prep School curriculum. It is cross-curricular, and
every subject uses it for visual imagery. It is a visual
and tactile subject to which children can relate
immediately. The skills which are developed are applied
across the whole curriculum.
