Sleepovers
Amesbury is a day school not a boarding school, or even
a boarding and day school.
When parents chose Amesbury for their children, they
will be able to enjoy their children in the evenings
free from prep and be able to spend time together at
weekends free from regular school commitments.
However when the time does come to leave for senior
school many children go on to leading boarding schools.
Four well-equipped bedrooms (14 beds in total) enable
children to ‘stay over’ on an occasional basis. The
limited size of the facility ensures that there is no
pressure for a child to board and they do so only on an
occasional basis, for the following reasons.
- If parents are away during the week on business
or due to family commitments.
- As a treat with friends on a birthday.
- A late return to school after a school trip to
the theatre or sporting event.
- In their final year at school, if they are
leaving to go on to a boarding school.
